ABOUT ME

Deacon Pat Kearns is an ordained Roman Catholic Deacon formally assigned to Our Lady of Mercy Parish in Redding California for over 7 years. After leaving California he and his wife, Liz, served as full-time missionaries in Guatemala. After the completion of a missionary year they settled in Idaho and at Our Lady of the Valley parish in Caldwell. He is a husband, a father, and a member of the catholic clergy.

 

Deacon Pat enjoys almost all sports but especially: kayaking, hiking, road and mountain biking, camping, snow and water skiing, scuba diving, archery, snowshoeing..... and basketball, baseball, football.... just to name a few.

 

He and his family (including their children) were part-time missionaries for over 10 years (Summers in Guatemala), and he has worked with the mentally ill for over 25 years as a psychiatric nurse. 

 

He is the founder of "The Family Mission Project" and "Catholic Men of the Cross In-Motion Retreats."

 

He and his wife Liz have found the villages of Guatemala, especially San Lucas Tolíman, to be one their most favorite places in the world, a second home with many friends.

 

Deacon Pat Kearns is a Catholic voice in a pagan world. He has quickly become a popular author and preacher for his direct approach to life's truths and his unique ability to deliver messages in an entertaining and profound manner. His sermons and books will leave you with deep impressions and have you rethinking many of your choices in life.
